Who am I ?
My name
is Cassio, and I was born in 1965. I'm working for
a governamental institution, TI department
: Support... Need to say more ?
I'm married, and my
daughter is in two years old now. In my free time I love
to play
with
photoshop,
studio max and other computer programs. As a brazilian,
I love football of course!
My PC ?
An Athlon 1.2 Ghz with 1 gb ram and a HD with 120 mb. Short
history about me and my hobby
Science Fiction have
been my passion since 1976, when I was in eight years
old... Long time, don't you
think ? In 1976, a friend of mine,
Carlos, presented me the USS Enterprise, together with
some original
designs made by him. After that, I started to draw
some starships too, read Isaac Asimov's books and see
all scifi
movies that I could. The list includes Space 1999,
Star Trek, Voyage to the bottom of sea, Buck Rogers in
the
25th century, Galactica, Black Hole, Logan's
Run, Cyborg, The Humanoid, Star Wars... and so on.
I tryed to write some scripts too, but I had a limited
skill and left it behind.
In 1983
Carlos died in a accident, and I lost my best friend.
I got
less time to do new scifi drawings. In 1986 another friend
presented me the Columbia's mesh made
in Autocad (DOS version), and I got fascinated about
CGI models, but Autocad was so hard to learn that I lost
my interest. Anyway, I didn't had a PC....
From 1986
to 1994, I got side tracked by work, study, sports and
other things, so, I gave a break to my drawings. I bought
my first PC in 1990, an AT286, and the second in 1994,
a Pentium 100.
In 1997
a friend of mine, Marcelo presented me the 3d Studio
Max R2, and it renewed my interest about CGI models and
scifi. Could I build, finally, some CGI starships ? It
was the time to buy a new PC, and I bought a Pentium
II, starting
to fight (yes, to fight !!) with the 3d Studio
Max R2.
1998: "Internet
? What is that ?" Yes, I said it... Anyway, I started
to play, and found the Wolfpack site,
now without activity since 1997. That's was a mark. After
that, I found Scifi-Art,
the second mark. I'd found my home...
From 1999
to 2005 there were five versions of this site, all of
them with references about "the most famous starships
from all
the times". The target was:
provide references
for 3d modellers. With the version 6, comes a lot of
new screencaps, meshes, some tutorials
and new
friends,
as you.
Hope that
you like of this site. Enjoy ! |
